October 14, 1943 – Navy Mothers Club To Make More Surgical Bandages

Nisqually Valley News

The Navy Mothers Club met in a regular meeting on Thursday evening and made plans for making surgical dressings, this time under supervision of the Thurston County Red Cross. Mrs. Virgil Moon plaque chairman reported that through the cooperation of Dan Carew and Cpt. Bill Welsdepp, men were to start work on the ground for the playing of the plaque next Saturday. Everyone is looking forward to the erection of the plaque. It will honor every boy serving his country in the armed forces, from this community. If your boy’s name has not been turned in, please do so at once as Mrs. Moon is anxious that no one from this community have his or her name omitted.
