Pioneers Meet Tomorrow
Washington Record June 2, 1902
Annual Reunion of the State Association in Seattle – A Good Time is Promised.
The old pioneers of the state will hold their annual reunion in Seattle tomorrow and Wednesday. The gathering of the Washington State Pioneers’ association is always a red letter event in the lives of those study settlers who in days agone [sic] did their share and sometimes more to build to build up this great commonwealth. The Native Sons of Washington also take part in the reunion. On Tuesday officers will be elected and general business transacted. D. B. Ward of Seattle is president of the association, and he has the interests of 800 members to look after. It is said Mr. Ward is anxious to retire this year. Allen Weir of Olympia is attending the meeting and it is probable that Thomas Prather will manage to be there.
