Washington Recorder June 7, 1902

The famous dog shooting case in which Frank Fields of Yelm was defendant and the state plaintiff was dismissed by Justice of the Pease Giles this morning.  The court reprimanded the defendant, impressing upon him the importance of saving his shot and shell for animals wilder than docile bull dogs and the like.  The evidence of the complaining witness was very contradictory and has much to do with the action of the court in dismissing the case.
