Who’s Who in Yelm Oscar Eide

A life-long resident of Washington, Oscar Eide, local merchant, was born and raised in Tacoma, before moving to Roy, where he first started in business with H. L. Wolf and Company in 1921. Two years later he moved to Yelm when this concern opened a store here which was destroyed by fire in 1924.
“They rebuilt the store at the same location after the fire. Although it wasn’t a pleasant occurrence, the fire certainly made a great improvement in Yelm. Many new buildings were constructed, others were painted and cleaned up and the appearance of the town became a hundred per cent better,” reminisced Mr. Eide.
Married in 1917 to Miss Isah?? Wolf, Mr. and Mr. Eide have three sons and a daughter. The oldest boy, Russell??, is in the U.S. Army, while Rex, the youngest son is endeavoring to enlist in the Navy, Roger is a local resident and is married and has one child and Ruth is the youngest , lives at home and is attending high school.
