Former Yelm Boy Killed In Action On Bataan Peninsula

Ernest McVittie, a resident of Yelm about ten years ago, and a son of Alf McVittie, who passed away some fifteen years ago, was killed in action in the Philippines between April 16^th and May 12^th, according to word received here. He had lived in Klamath Falls in recent years. His mother, Mrs. V. C. Johnson passed away February 9^th from a heart attack. He was a nephew of Frank Moore, who was well known here a few years ago.
